South London Grand Prix - Herne Hill Veldrome 24th-25th July

More Than A Cyclist, was delighted to be the podium sponsor for the South London Grand Prix at the Herne Hill  Velodrome. The event over two days saw riders from all over the UK, Europe and much further afield (Brazil) compete on the outdoor velodrome at Herne Hill in a range of different track cycling disciplines. As well as being the podium sponsor and proudly having our logo on display there all weekend, we were also able to share our message of humanising people who cycle and positively changing driver behaviour, with the people cycling and supporting across the weekend.  We were delighted to see lots of people happily taking our distinctive pin badges and stickers from us and in the goody bags our good friends at the Supporters of Herne Hill had organised for us.  The cycling was fast, furious and really exciting in beautiful late July sunshine.

It was also great to be joined on the Friday evening by Rory McCarron from Leigh Day Solicitors, who continue to provide fantastic support to our campaign and through their legal services all people who cycle. While the event is now over, our track banner is still proudly in place on the apex of the final bend before the start/finish straight, reminding people to see and value the person cycling and give them space.
